I am interested in this plane and as of current will have to order from overseas. Like to find a turbine version of a L39 but limited funds may direct me to this instead so can you pass on your setup info?
More video also if you can, looks good and flies light!

Hello "sam51401" ! In the video, the L-39 is powered by a schubeler 51 HDS and a HET 700/68/1200! the controler is a castle creations edge160HV!The batteries used are Hobbyking Zippy Flightmax 11S 5000mah 45C ! The weight of the aicraft is 5.3kg and the thrust delivered is 4.3kg ! Note that I have removed the inlet ducts and change the exhaust duct by a rolled radiography with the exhaust enlarged to 80mm ! the native ducts were rolled with the rough surface inside....

Note also that this aircraft is flighing as well with a Jetfan 90mm and the same motor and batteries but take 15Amps more !

discovery , here's a question for you.
You said " schubeler 51 HDS and a HET 700/68/1200--thrust delivered is 4.3kg -Flightmax 11S 5000mah 45C "

Then you said the ( Jetfan 90mm and the same motor and batteries but take 15Amps more !)

You forgot an imortant part here:
So how much thrust does the Jetfan deliver???

Another point is , the JF on the 1200KV motor does better on 12s --( for thrust) it has less blades then the schubeler

Hello! The jetfan deliver 4.2kg on 11S and 5kg on 12S but it needs 15Amps more on 11S and 25Amps on 12S !

Great info and thank you. I have HET 90mm and also EVO rotors to that I was going to install in my A10. Im thinking of a 12s setup or maybe drop to 10s to save a little weight.
So what is the reason for removing the inlet ducts??? You went with an open intake and inlet ring instead I assume?
Still deciding on whether I get to go with this plane or able to find a turbine instead. Again, thanks and another video please!!

With all these numbers, you have dont even said what the amps on the schubeler 51 HDS were..
15/25 amps more tells me nothing until I have something to comapare it to.

How many amps does the schubeler 51 HDS draw on 11s, and 12s

And what was the thrust on 12s?

Thanks, up till now there hasn't been any data posted that I've seen.

I've been using these numbers for the JF90 specs below

Same motor similar batteries. This is installed.

Hello,
Sam was kind enough to ask for me about the CG location. I have the BD-5J from Black Horse and found the manual's suggest CG was to far towards the tail for good flying.
I now have the Black Horse L-39 and will maiden on Thursday. Can you please tell me what CG point you are flying at?

thanks,
Carl
