0:29, 4Q — Penn State finds the end zone and fails the two-point conversion. It’s 20-12 and an onside kick is coming.
2:41, 4Q — Jayden Fielding misses a field goal. It’s still 20-6, Buckeyes.
4:07, 4Q — Touchdown, Ohio State. Marvin Harrison Jr. catches a crossing pattern and takes it the rest of the way. It’s 20-6 and the party is starting to ramp up in Ohio Stadium.
7:22, 4Q — J.T. Tuimoloau! Ohio State stops Penn State on fourth and 3 from the Penn State 43-yard line. This Ohio State defense comes up big.
8:59, 4Q — Ohio State takes a seven-point lead on a 37-yard field goal from Jayden Fielding. It’s 13-6.
12:15, 4Q — Two huge plays, one from Marvin Harrison Jr. and one from Cade Stover, have the Buckeyes driving into Penn State territory.
14:00, 4Q — What a play from J.T. Tuimoloau, who blasted Drew Allar on second down to force a third-and-long situation. Buckeyes forced a punt after the terrible special teams miscue and now have the ball at their own 10.
THIRD QUARTER
END OF THIRD QUARTER — Ohio State leads 10-6 but Penn State has the ball near midfield.
0:44, 3Q — The Penn State punt hit Lorenzo Styles’ foot, and Penn State recovers. It was another special teams blunder.
2:12, 3Q — Ohio State stuffed on third and goal from the 1. And Carnell Tate was stuffed on fourth and goal from the 3. Wow.
3:08, 3Q — Devin Brown is down on the goal line after a 5-yard run. It’s being spotted at the 1-yard line, where the Buckeyes will have third and goal.
5:52, 3Q — Jermaine Mathews again! He breaks up a deep ball intended for Penn State wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith, and Penn State punts.
7:17, 3Q — Jesse Mirco with an insane 72-yard punt. That flips the field and gives Penn State the ball at its own 24-yard line.
9:24, 3Q — Josh Simmons gets his weekly penalty, this time a holding call. That negates a first down by Julian Fleming.
11:35, 3Q — Penn State punt. The offenses trade three and outs to start the second half.
13:49, 3Q — Ohio State goes three and out to start the second half. That was ugly.
SECOND QUARTER
HALFTIME — The Buckeyes take a knee to end the half.
1:17, 2Q — Another Penn State star, wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith, is down on the field after making a catch for a first down.
2:51, 2Q — After a long pass to Marvin Harrison Jr., Penn State stops Ohio State’s drive at the PSU 38. Jesse Mirco delivers a beautiful punt that is downed at the Penn State 6.
4:16, 2Q — Penn State gets another field goal to make it 10-6. After a couple of nice completions, the Nittany Lions offense cools off. The Buckeyes will get the ball back with a chance to score before the half — and they get the ball to start the second half.
7:31, 2Q — Aided by a few penalties, Ohio State hands off to Miyan Williams, who punches it into the end zone for a touchdown. It’s 10-3 and the Horseshoe is rocking.
9:20, 2Q — Penn State gets a scoop-and-score touchdown… but there’s a flag on the play for defensive holding. Kalen King held Marvin Harrison Jr., and the Buckeyes get bailed out on a third-down turnover. Wow.
9:58, 2Q —Penn State star defensive end Chop Robinson was down on the field. He was being checked out by trainers, and it didn’t look good after colliding with Ohio State guard Matthew Jones. Robinson was helped off the field with a towel over his head.
13:01, 2Q — Jermaine Mathews Jr. Learn that name. He’s playing well so far, especially for a true freshman. Penn State punts again, and Ohio State will have the ball at its own 39-yard line.
FIRST QUARTER
END OF FIRST QUARTER — Ohio State 3, Penn State 3.
1:01, 1Q — Penn State punt. Ohio State will begin at its own 13.
3:07, 1Q — Another Buckeyes punt. The offense is not playing well right now.
5:10, 1Q — Ohio State defensive back Ja’Had Carter went down with what appears to be a leg injury on the kick return. He’s not putting weight on his leg.
5:15, 1Q — Bad run fits lead to big plays for Penn State running back Nick Singleton, who gashed the Buckeyes and got Penn State into field-goal range before the drive stalls out. A field goal makes this a 3-3 ball game.

8:19, 1Q — Ohio State goes three and out on a bad possession. Kyle McCord was sacked by Nittany Lions cornerback Johnny Dixon on the third-down pass play. Penn State has great field position to start — it’s at the Nittany Lions own 38-yard line.
9:20, 1Q — Another Penn State drive stalls. The Nittany Lions get a first down on first down and then go three and out. Ohio State will start its second drive on its own 26-yard line.
10:49, 1Q — Ohio State scoots down the field with good runs and three passes to Marvin Harrison Jr., but the Buckeyes drive stalls at the Penn State 15-yard line. Jayden Fielding’s field goal is good. It’s 3-0.
14:32, 1Q —Penn State goes three and out on its first possession. Buckeyes defense gets an early stop.
PREGAME — Ohio State wins the toss and defers to the second half. Buckeyes defense will be on the field first.

Injury notes for Ohio State
Ohio State star running backTreVeyon Hendersonwas originally ruled out, but he has been upgraded to questionable.
He hasn’t played since the win over Notre Dame on Sept. 23, even though Day has said prior to each of the three games following that win that Henderson should be good to go for the next game. Henderson has warmed up pregame in each of those three games — but hasn’t dressed for any of them.
Now he’s questionable for the third straight game.
Emeka Egbuka is officially listed as questionable for the Buckeyes in their massive showdown against the Nittany Lions slated for Saturday at Noon. He’ll be a game-time decision for Ohio State as it faces one of the top defenses in the country.
Egbuka has 22 catches for 303 yards and three receiving touchdowns this season after going over the 1,000-yard mark for the Buckeyes prolific offense last year.
Ohio State will be without star cornerbackDenzel Burke, who was named a midseason All-American earlier this week. Burke left in the second half of the Buckeyes win at Purdue last week, first going to the medical tent before heading to the locker room. He did not return.
Burke has been a lightning rod for the Buckeyes this season, tallying a forced fumble, an interception and eight pass deflections on the year.
Ohio State vs. Penn State: Game time, details
Ohio State has won six straight over Penn State, but this is one of the tightest annual series’ in college football. The Buckeyes have two wins by just one point and a few other close calls during that six-game winning streak. Ohio State has the all-time lead in the series, holding a 24-14 edge in the rivalry, dating back to 1912. The game has been played annually since 1993 when Penn State joined the Big Ten.
Last season, the Buckeyes overcame a halftime deficit and edged out Penn State 44-31 behind an all-time performance from defensive endJ.T. Tuimoloau. He’ll be a big factor in this game, as well. The winner of this year’s matchup will have an inside track to compete with Michigan for the top spot in the Big Ten East and put themselves in prime position for the College Football Playoff.
