ADA ACCESSIBILITY

SECU Stadium is designed with parking, restrooms, concessions, water fountains, ATM's, closed captioning and seating areas accessible to guests with disabilities. See Guests With Disabilities.

ADA TICKET FRAUD

Ticket fraud includes but is not limited to the misrepresentation of a disability. Management reserves the right to take appropriate action regarding misrepresentation, which may result in relocation, revocation of tickets, or ejection.

ALCOHOL POLICY

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited from entering or exiting SECU Stadium.Any attempt to bring alcohol into or out of the stadium is a violation of facility regulations and may result in the guest being denied admittance, ejected, arrested, and/or tickets being revoked.Please refer to.

ALCOHOL SALES

Maryland Craft and National Brand beers are available for purchase at stands and kiosks throughout SECU Stadium. Anyone appearing to be under the age of 40 will be required to present a valid government issued photo ID for service. Please have your ID ready to present. There is a limit of one beer per person per transaction. Beer sales stop at the end of the third quarter even if fans are still in line. Anyone misrepresenting their age to obtain beer or anyone providing beer to anyone under 21 years of age will be immediately ejected from the stadium and criminally prosecuted. Any fan who appears to be intoxicated will be ejected from the stadium. The University reserves the right to refuse alcoholic beverage service to anyone at its sole discretion. ANIMALS

Animals are not permitted inside of SECU Stadium with the exception of service animals and service animals in training for guests with disabilities. Please refer toProhibited Items and Behavior.

ATMs

There is an automated teller machine (ATM) located on the Concourse Level (1st level) behind Section 15. Another ATM is located just outside of Gate C, near Ellicott Hall, prior to entering SECU Stadium.

BAG POLICY

Fans are encouraged to only bring necessary items into SECU Stadium. Only the following style and size bags will be allowed into the stadium, all of which are subject to search: Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)

Small clutch bags, measuring 4.5" x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap

All other bags will not be permitted. A list of prohibited bags includes, but is not limited to: purses, backpacks, drawstring bags that are not clear, briefcases, coolers, fanny packs, luggage, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases and diaper bags. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items that are not permitted into the stadium.

BAG SEARCH

All bags are subject to search upon entry and are subject to additional searches within the stadium. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items which are not permitted into the stadium. Violators of the rules or any State or City laws will be refused admission or asked to leave. This policy is in effect for all guests who visit SECU Stadium.

BANNERS, SIGNS, & FLAGS

Signs must be handheld, event-related, in good taste, and cannot obstruct another guest's view. They may not contain commercial messages, logos, vulgar language, or political endorsem*nts and may not be hung on the stadium structure. Signs or flags on sticks or poles are not permitted. Management reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of stadium policy.

BOTTLES & CANS

It is prohibited to enter SECU Stadium with bottles, cans, or other beverage containers. A search will be conducted at the gates to prevent these and other prohibited items from entering the stadium. Please use one of the numerous recycling containers located by each entrance. Please refer tofor more information. Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.

BROADCAST

Television and radio broadcasts times are generally announced in advance of the game. The Big Ten reserves the right to select game times for broadcasts on a six (6) or twelve (12) day window in advance of the game. Game times will be posted on thefootball schedule pagewhen confirmed.

CAMERAS

Still-cameras may be used at any time provided that their use does not interfere with another guest's ability to enjoy the atmosphere of SECU Stadium. However, flash photography is not permitted as it may interrupt play. The use of video cameras is prohibited and these items will not be permitted inside of SECU Stadium. Please refer tofor more information.

CELLULAR PHONES

The use of cellular phones is permitted inside of SECU Stadium provided that that their use does not interfere with another guest's ability to enjoy the atmosphere inside of the stadium.

CHAIR BACK POLICY

Any portable seat that impedes on the comfort and enjoyment of a fan in an adjacent seat (in front, behind, or to the side) is prohibited. Any stadium seat measuring more than 16 inches wide is prohibited in SECU Stadium. All seats with arm rests and zippers are prohibited. Stadium seats may be purchased on a season basis by calling the ticket office at 301-314-7070 or rented on the day of the game at concourse locations inside the stadium.

CHILDREN'S TICKET POLICY

Everyone regardless of age will need a ticket for admission. Children two (2) years of age and under will be provided with a lap ticket, upon request, at the admission gate. They must be seated in the lap of a parent or guardian and not interfere with the sight line of other patrons.

ELECTRONIC TICKET SCANNING

All tickets will be electronically scanned in order to verify authenticity. Tickets which have been scanned upon entry cannot be used by another guest.

ELEVATORS

An elevator traveling between all three levels of SECU Stadium is located on the north side of the stadium, under the upper deck levels, behind Section 6. In addition, elevators are available for those authorized to enter Tyser Tower.

EMAIL SERVICE

Maryland Athletics is offering Terrapin fans a way to discreetly and instantly alert stadium personnel of any issues; such as unruly behavior, housekeeping issues, or any other event-related concerns. Email issue and location toterpsgameday@umd.edu.

EMERGENCIES

Should you need immediate assistance, please notify the nearest usher, security personnel, police officer or visit one of the First Aid Stations located behind Section 14 or Section 23 on the Concourse Level (1st level). You may also head to any Fan Assistance location behind Section 2, 13 and 20. In the event of a stadium emergency pertinent information regarding the emergency situation and evacuation procedures will be provided over the public address system and on stadium video boards.

FAMILY RESTROOMS/GENDER INCLUSIVE

Family restrooms are located behind Sections 4, 202 and 307 on all three (3) levels of SECU Stadium. All family restrooms are equipped with diaper changing stations.

FAN ASSISTANCE LOCATIONS

There are three (3) Fan Assistance Locations inside SECU Stadium to assist fans with any questions, problems, or concerns. The Fan assistance locations can be found on the concourse level (1st level) behind Sections 2, 13 and 20. In addition to the three Fan Assistance Locations inside the stadium, there are mobile units traveling through each parking lot outside the stadium.

FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

The University is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for fans of all ages (including and especially children), student-athletes, coaches and officials both in the stadium and on our campus. We want all fans attending our games to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion. Event patrons are responsible for their own conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons using their tickets. Even if theseason ticketholders give away or sell their tickets, the account holder remains responsible for the actions of those using the tickets. Accounts can be forfeited partially or entirely for violations of the Fan Code of Conduct.

Fans are subject to ejection and season ticket holders risk losing their season ticket account and/or parking privileges as a result of the following inappropriate and disruptive behavior:

  • Excessive consumption of alcohol
  • Fighting
  • Obscene, profane or abusive language
  • Dangerous, obscene, profane or abusive behavior
  • Interfering with other fans' ability to see the game
  • Smoking inside of SECU Stadium
  • Scalping or other improper resale of tickets
  • Interfering with security procedures
  • Interfering with the process of the game or going onto the field
  • Throwing any objects onto the field or in the stadium
  • Any action warranting ejection and/or confiscation of game tickets by police or stadium security

FIRST AID

First Aid Stations are located behind section 14 and section 23 on the Concourse Level (1st level). Physicians, paramedics, and ambulances are all available during Terrapin football games. GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES

Closed Captioning

Closed captioning of the game announcements will be available on two ribbon boards on the east end of the stadium. Additionally, closed captioning can be accessed via your personal smart phone or tablet. For more information visit a Fan Assistance location.

Entrances

All of the entrances, with the exception of Gate A, into SECU Stadium are accessible to our guests with disabilities.

Parking

Terrapin Club donors wanting to order a season, numbered assigned space in a disabled location must present appropriate documentation (in Maryland, form VR-210). The most convenient parking for fans with disabilities is in the Stadium Drive Garage, adjacent to SECU Stadium. A number of permits will be available for Terrapin Club donors needing disabled parking irrespective of giving level. On game day, parking for fans with disabilities without season permits is on a first-come, first-served basis and patrons must display valid, state issued accessible tags to park in these spaces.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located on all three (3) levels of SECU Stadium. All restrooms are accessible to our guests with disabilities and equipped with diaper changing stations.

Tailgate Restrooms can be found at Ludwig, XFINITY and portable locations throughout parking lots.

Seating

Seatingfor guests with disabilities are availableat five (5) locations throughout SECU Stadium:

  • At the top of Section 2 on the Concourse Level (1st level) on the north side of the stadium in the visiting team section.
  • At the top of Section9 on the Concourse Level (1st level) on the north side of the stadium*.
  • At the top of Section 28 on the Concourse Level (1st level) on the south side of the stadium.
  • Throughout the aisle between rows H and S on the Club Level (2nd level).
  • Throughout the aisle between rows F and G on the View Level (3rd level).

JONES-HILL HOUSE

Established in 2021, JHH is the home of the Maryland Terrapins Football Team. It contains state of the art amenities including; a 24,000 sqft weight room, dining hall, team locker room, players lounge, offices, meeting rooms, and recovery space.

LOCKERS

Lockers for personal items are available for rent outside SECU Stadium on the North and South side, near gates C and G respectively.

LOST & FOUND

Lost items may be turned into any of the ushers or security personnel around the stadium or to the Fan Assistance location behind Section 13 on the Concourse Level (1st level). Guests needing to claim or report lost items during an event should also visit the Fan Assistance location behind Section 13. Guests inquiring about lost items at previous events should call the Facilities, Operations & Events office at 301-314-7126 for more information. Items lost at prior games are held in a secured area for 30 days and are then donated to an appropriate charitable organization. SECU Stadium cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged items.

LOST CHILDREN & GUESTS

Lost children and guests should be taken to the Fan Assistance location behind Section 13 on the Concourse Level (1st level). Parents looking for a lost child should contact the nearest usher or security personnel and should be directed to the Fan Assistance location behind Section 13. Terrapin Tracker is a wristband credential to aid in reuniting a child or guest who may get separated from his/her family. A guest may pick up a complimentary Terrapin Tracker credential at any Fan Assistance location.

LOST OR STOLEN TICKETS

For information on replacing lost or stolen tickets to an event at SECU Stadium, please contact the Maryland Ticket Office directly at 301-314-7070. On the day of game, fans may go to the customer service windows located at Gate F or Gate I for any ticket related issues

M CLUB

The M Club Foundation exists within the University of Maryland Athletic Department to provide former Terrapin athletic letter winners the opportunity to continue to be involved in Maryland Athletics once their eligibility has expired. There are no better ambassadors for Maryland Athletics than those who have competed while wearing the Terrapin colors. The M Club provides these former student athletes with the avenue to give back to the institution that they represented so well. MARCHING BAND

MEDIA ENTRANCE

MEDIA WILL CALL

Media Will Call is at Gate J, which is located on the south side of SECU Stadium to the east of Ticket Booth 6. Identification is required in order to pick up tickets left at the Media Will Call window. Metal Detection and Wanding

Guest entering SECU Stadium may be subject to search via walk through magnetometers (aka metal detectors) or handheld detection devices.

MERCHANDISE

Marylandclothing and souvenirs are available throughout the stadium. Visit the Under Armour Shop located on the ground floor of Tyser Tower behind Section 21 to purchase your sideline apparel. Find clothing and gift needs in the alcove underneath Tyser Tower inside of Gate I and at the North Stand underneath the upper deck in between Gates B and C. Your stadium souvenirs can be found at the booths located on the west side of the stadium on the promenade level as well as on the 2nd and 3rd levels of the upper deck.

The Terrapin Team Shop at the XFINITY Center will open 6 hours prior to the game starting or at 10:00 a.m. It will close after the 1st quarter concludes or 6:00 p.m.

NURSING MOTHERS

If you are a nursing mother who is in need of lactation accommodations, please email TerpsGameday@umd.edu in advance of your trip to campus. Event staff will work with you to provide you with a private location to breastfeed your infant and/or pump while at the game.

ON-FIELD ACCESS

Only authorized and properly credentialed personnel will be permitted on the field before, during, or after a game. Any unauthorized person going onto the field will be removed from the stadium and subject to arrest.

PARKING

Terrapin Club donors who purchase season tickets are eligible for football parking benefits. Eligibility for Terrapin Club parking is based on annual giving level. Parking assignments and lots are not guaranteed to be the same from year to year. Numbered, assigned parking spaces are allocated based on annual giving level and Terpoint priority. Parking Pass Information

Parking permits must be displayed from your rearview mirror before entering campus. Displaying the parking pass enables traffic control officers to move traffic along quickly to each color-coded area of campus. Only one space is allowed per parking pass. Misuse of parking passes may result in ticket and/or permit revocation. The parking pass is good for the home football game date and the area designated on the permit. All parking lots open six (6) hours prior to kick-off.

The Maryland Terrapins Football Team has programs available for purchase at SECU Stadium. Programs can be purchased at the stand located on the concourse level (1st level) behind section 17.

The Big Ten promotes good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation in helping to maintain a family-friendly environment for fans of all ages, and in supporting the student-athletes, coaches and officials in a positive manner. Profanity or actions to incite, intimidate or threaten others will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition. The following items and/or activities are prohibited during athletic competitions and events:

All persons / belongings are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items which are not permitted into the stadium. Those who violate rules and regulations and any person(s) who commit illegal acts may be ejected from the facility and jeopardize their ability to attend future events.

Disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited at Maryland Athletics events. Disruptive behavior diminishes other fans' and spectators' ability to enjoy the game day atmosphere. Disruptive behavior includes but is not limited to: threats, threatening behavior, interfering with other fans' and spectators' ability to watch the game, and throwing objects. These actions or any other actions deemed disruptive by stadium staff will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the stadium. Other potential consequences include ticket suspension, ticket revocation, arrest and prosecution.

PROMOTIONAL DATES/TIMES

Promotional items have individual restrictions and give away dates are subject to change without prior notice. Please remember that a game ticket does not ensure or entitle the holder to a promotional item on that date and that only one item will be distributed per person. Please be considerate of other guests by taking only one promotional item.

PUBLIC ADDRESS

No appeals will be made over the public address system. Requests of an emergency nature should be addressed to the nearest usher or security personnel.

RADIOS/TELEVISIONS

Handheld radios and televisions are permitted inside of SECU Stadium as long as they do not distract from the enjoyment of other guests. For the comfort of those seated around you, headphones are encouraged.

RAMPS

Ramps that lead to all three levels of SECU Stadium are located inside the Gate E entrance and inside the Gate B entrance on the north side of the stadium.

RE-ENTRY

Guests may not exit and re-enter the stadium using the same ticket. However, in case of an emergency, a guest may receive a signature on their ticket from a gate supervisor, which will permit a guest to re-enter the stadium at the same gate. Guests that leave the stadium, at any time, without the signature from a gate supervisor, will not be permitted to re-enter the stadium with the same ticket.

SPIRIT SQUAD

The Spirit Squad is an integral part of the pageantry and excitement of Maryland Athletics. This group of students supports the Football, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball teams with the Marching Band to form the core of Maryland Terrapin spirit!

STADIUM EVACUATION

In the event it becomes necessary to evacuate the stadium for any reason instructions will be given over the PA system, along with a video that will be played on the video boards. There will also be staff on hand to distribute evacuation cards to identify areas of shelter on campus (Stamp Student Union, The Diner, Samuel Riggs Alumni Center, Eppley Recreation Center, The Clarice, and XFINITY Center).

STAIRWELLS

Stairwells that lead to all three levels of SECU Stadium are located inside the Gate E entrance at and inside of the Gate A entrance on the north side of the stadium.

STROLLERS

Strollers are not permitted inside of SECU Stadium. There is limited space for fans to check their strollers inside Riggs Alumni, room 1130.

STUDENT SEATING

Sections 8 through 16 on the Concourse Level (1st level) of SECU Stadium have been designated exclusively for University of Maryland students.

TAILGATING

Tailgating is limited to the number of parking spaces for which one has a permit. Parking permits must be displayed at all times. You may not grill with an open flame when tailgating in parking garages. Individuals not complying with this policy are subject to a fine from the Department of Transportation Services and/or the revocation of Terrapin Club parking privileges. TERRAPIN TRACKER

A wristband credential utilized to provide a system on game day in which a child or guest who may get separated from his/her family can be reunited with them quickly. A guest may pick up a complimentary Terrapin Tracker credential at any Fan Assistance location.

TERP HOSTS

Terp Hosts are a guest relations staff that will work throughout SECU Stadium each football game day. This staff is trained to conduct stadium security, crowd control and of course The Maryland Way. The Maryland Way is about sportsmanship in the stands as well as on the field. TERRAPIN CLUB

The Terrapin Club is composed of alumni, friends and fans of University of Maryland Athletics. Contributions provide support to our over 500 student-athletes annually. TESTUDO

Dr. H.C. "Curly" Byrd, the former football coach who later became University President, recommended the Diamondback Turtle as Maryland's mascot in 1932 in response to the student newspaper's search for an "official" leader. The class of 1933 sponsored as its graduation gift the permanent, bronzed terrapin that watches over McKeldin Mall to this day.

Guests have the opportunity to book Testudo for appearances at a birthday party, company party, grand opening, or other function. For more information on having Testudo appear at one of your events please contact the Marketing Department through email atTerpsMascot@umd.edu.

TICKETS

The Maryland Athletics Ticket Office is located on the south side of the XFINITY Center at the Main Entrance (Gate A) and is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hours may be extended to accommodate the needs of specific events. For ticket information, please call 800-462-TERP, emailterptix@umd.edu, or visit them atonline.

TICKET POLICY

We value the enthusiasm of our guests, but ask that all guests exercise good judgment and observe our "Fan Code of Conduct." Guests should observe the rights of others by displaying proper decorum. All Season Ticket Holders are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and persons occupying their seats. Violations may result in revoked account privileges without reimbursem*nt to the Season Ticket Holder and/or the holder of the ticket license at the discretion of Maryland Athletics and SECU Stadium.

TICKET REPLACEMENT POLICY

For information on replacing lost or stolen tickets at SECU Stadium, please contact the Maryland Ticket Office directly at 301-314-7070. On the day of game, fans may go to the customer service windows located at Gate F or Gate I for any ticket related issues.

TICKET SCALPING

The resale of tickets within 300 feet of SECU Stadium to events at the stadium is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with this policy may result in arrest or other disciplinary actions.

TRAVEL

TYSER TOWER

Tyser Tower is located on the south side of SECU Stadium. It consists of luxurious suites available for game day use, media operations, and a University suite large enough for 200 invited guests. Only those with proper tickets or credentials may enter Tyser Tower during game days. For more information in regards to use of a suite on game day pleaseclick here.

UMBRELLAS

Umbrellas are not permitted inside of SECU Stadium and no storage of this item is available. Please refer toProhibited Items and Behavior.

VAPING

Vaping and e-cigarettes are prohibited in SECU Stadium and other athletic venues.

Visiting Team Will Call is located at Gate B on the north side of SECU Stadium. Ticket distribution is determined by the visiting team. WHEELCHAIRS

ZERO WASTE

Maryland Athletics, Dining Services, Facilities Management and the Office of Sustainability are embarking on an ambitious and innovative recycling program to transform SECU Stadium into a Zero Waste facility by the year 2017. Maryland's Drive to Zero Waste, which refers to diverting 90% of trash from the landfill by recycling and composting, is a bold endeavor that will require a campus-wide commitment and participation from all of Terp Nation. Zero Waste stations for recycling and composting will be available throughout the stadium and all items purchased inside the stadium will be either recyclable or compostable to achieve Zero Waste. Please join the University of Maryland in creating a greener University.
