Student Section

Sections 8-16 are designated for Maryland students on gamedays. The band will sit in the front portion of section 12.

• Lower Level Corner Seating

  As Maryland Stadium was designed in a U shape, corner seating is available only on the west end of the field, which is where you will find these lower level seating options. These seats have excellent views of scoring plays at the near endzone, however it can be more difficult to follow the action at the far (east) enddzone.

  Each section has 47 lettered rows of seating, with single lettered rows located at the front, and double lettered rows behind. The section entry tunnels are located at the top of the section, leaving long walks down for fans that want to sit close to the field.

  Maryland student seating occupies the northwest corner in Sections 9-10, where the atmosphere will be loud, rowdy, and energetic during Terrapin home games.

• Lower Level Endzone Seating

  The majority of seating in the Lower Level Endzone is designated for Maryland Students, leaving sections 17-19 as the only non-student options in this seating location. As such, these seats are sure to be high energy, as well as high volume throughout the game (the Maryland Band also sits near the front of Sections 12).

  As the only east facing seats in the stadium, these sections will have the advantage of putting the sun at your back sooner than others during day games, and while there is little shade to be found, not having the sun blaring in your eyes can be a relief.

• Lower Level Sideline Seating

  With the closest seating of any sideline area, these seats are home to some of the best views for a football game at Maryland Stadium. Fans can sit right at midfield in Sections 24-25 behind the Maryland sideline, or in Sections 5-6 which are located behind the visitor sideline.

  Entry tunnels are located at the very top of the section, and with up to 47 lettered rows of seating in each Lower Level Sideline section, this leaves the longest walk for fans sitting closest to the field. Sitting near the top of the sections not only keeps you closer to the concourse, but will also provide an excellent viewing height that allows fans to see over the sidelines with ease.

  Section 2 is a designated visitor seating area near the northeast corner, while student seating is available in Section 8 where the atmosphere is generally more loud and rowdy during a Maryland Football game.

• Middle Level Corner Seating

  The Middle Level Corner seating location only consists of two sections at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. These sections are in a great position to watch scoring plays in the west endzone but may have some difficulty seeing the action when it occurs on the east side of the field.

  These sections have an elevated view of the action and have 19 lettered rows each. Fans should look out for the railing in front of this level because it is large and can potentially obstruct the views of some people in the first few rows. Instead, we recommend opting for seats near Row L where you'll find good overhead coverage provided by the overhanging seating deck above.

• Middle Level Sideline Seating

  Located between the endzones on the second tier of seating, the Middle Level Sideline seats are always an excellent option for a football game at Maryland Stadium. Sideline positioning provides the highly sought after traditional viewing angles, while the location on the second seating tier provides great views to all areas of the field.

  The smallest of any non-premium seating option (just 19 lettered rows of seating), getting to and from the seats will be much easier, and fans can also find excellent shade and overhead coverage in rows L and higher. While you can find closer views on the lower level, the overall experience from these seats is tough to beat.

• Upper Level Corner Seating

  On the highest seating tier and beyond the west endzone goal line, the Upper Level Corner sections have some of the least desirable views at Maryland Stadium. Catching the action at the near endzone is decent, however the action feels much further away as the line of scrimmage approaches the east endzone.

  Given the further views and less desirable location, these sections are a good place to search for cheap Maryland Football tickets as long as you're not too picky about where you sit. Single lettered rows are located at the front of the sections, while double lettered rows are located at the back.

• Upper Level Sideline Seating

  With some of the best elevated views in the stadium, the Upper Level Sideline seating location is an intriguing seating option at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. The elevation gives fans an opportunity to easily see the entire field throughout the game, but the distance from the field can leave some viewers wanting more.

  While many fans would prefer to be closer to the field, you can still find good views near midfield, and at a much more affordable price than the other lower seating tiers. While not as large as the lower level, sections in this location are still big with up to 39 lettered rows of seating. Single lettered rows are located closer to the front while double lettered rows are behind, and entry tunnels are located near Row G.

  The only seats with chairbacks at Maryland Stadium are the premium seating options along the south sideline. The premium Mezzanine Seating and luxury suites have chairbacks, but all of the other seats in the stadium do not. All other seats in the stadium have bleacher bench seating with no backs.
